Apple & Maple butter

Ingredients

8 McIntosh apples peeled, seeded and diced

¼ cup maple syrup

½ cup cold butter, cut into cubes

Directions

  1. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp. butter. Brown apples over medium-low heat around15 minutes or until soft.
  2. Add the maple syrup and reduce by half, around 5 minutes
  3. In a blender, make a smoothly purée while gradually incorporating the butter.
  4. Keeps in the fridge for 1 week. Tolerates freezing.
